Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 May 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Veri-Shift service operated as Veri-Shift (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Veri-Shift is a software service that helps healthcare businesses verify locum invoices against their own shift and rate records. We provide the tools; you remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for your final decisions on payment.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for keeping your password secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@veri-shift.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Subscription and billing

Veri-Shift is sold on a recurring monthly subscription. Pricing depends on the number of active locums managed by your organisation:

  • Starter — £5/month for 1–50 active locums
  • Growth — £25/month for 51–100 active locums
  • Scale — £45/month for 101–200 active locums

We offer a 60-day free trial for new accounts; no payment is required during the trial. After the trial, your subscription begins automatically using the payment method you provide. If your active locum count crosses a tier threshold, your plan is adjusted automatically with prorated billing. Payments are processed by Stripe.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Subscription page in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then. We don't generally provide refunds for partial months, but we'll review reasonable requests on a case-by-case basis. Email support@veri-shift.co.uk.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to circumvent security measures.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful content.
  • Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service without our written consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Your data

You own the data you enter into Veri-Shift. We process it on your behalf to operate the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Veri-Shift running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance, third-party outages, or unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime. We'll communicate significant disruptions where reasonable.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Veri-Shift is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that the service will meet every requirement, be free from errors, or detect every invoicing discrepancy. Verification results are guidance based on the data you enter; final decisions on payment remain yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
